Disney....With A Dragon!?

This is probably the weirdest thing that happened with Disney (not really, its Disney) giving that a fire breathing-dragon is flying over magic kingdom. I also want to announce that Lucasfilms (creator of the Star Wars saga and Indiana Jones) has been sold to Disney for an astounding 4 billion dollars, also announcing that Star Wars 7 will be released in 2015. Pixar was sold to Disney in 2006 for 7 billion dollars. Since then, Disney has made movies including Toy Story 1,2, and 3 with the Pixar benefit. Now back to this fire breathing dragon of Disney's. This dragon made its appearance during the grand opening of the new Fantasy Land in the resort. Yes this is completely robotic ( which is why I am posting
 this).
This is it(I know this isn't what you expected).

This magnificent beast that apparently to some people acts as he guardian for the newly created FantasyLand, which has had its grand opening on December 5th, and the dragon appeared at around 7:30 pm. This dragon was meant to attract the press, not become a huge debut. The dragon is actually an illusion, as because an aircraft flies over it, casting ultra-violet lights creating the image of the actual dragon flying around (using parachutes to guide it). That is still impressive. Although the low-sound making engines did not give off a clue that it was flown by a manned aircraft. If you were in the California airfield back in June  you might have seen this be tested (probably not, but there is always a first time for everything). On the right shows this beast breathing fire.

Please comment, and list what future topics should be discussed, see you later!

The New Apple iMac

The new-new.
The old-old.
The revolutionary new product by apple has arrived, showing it's stripes in bright colors. Just simply stunning to the human mind. Apple is showing the death of their founder did not dump them to the bottom of the pail. They have re-engineered the iMac so it is now sleeker, thinner, faster, and better than any previous models of the iMac. Can this get any better? That is what I'm here for. And yes, by reducing reflections by 75%, re-architecting  the LCD right up to the glass for a massive experience.

Being given the title of "newness", the iMac has a 3rd generation Intel core processors, latest NVIDIA  graphics, Thunderbolt, and great new storage options. This iMac is the slimmest and yet the most power fullest of its kind. Running off OSX mountain lion, the fastest around, it is so darn fast. Plus, all of your apple devices can sync thanks to iCloud. There is even a new Fusion-Drive option! The Turbo Boost 2 gives twice the speed as it would have without it. There is much to learn about the structure of the new iMac, software, and more. Just go to http://www.apple.com/imac. You can buy this if you want, for 1,500 dollars.

Apple Company and ratings, Tech Battles

Apple as we know it is one of the best technology dealers on the planet. But how good is it really? Read this post about apple itself, to figure out who will win, Apple or Samsung.
So far Apple has been one of the big dogs in the game of ultimate tech. They have sold over 100 products, and have the audience to keep up their game. But most of the time, the products are bought for the fun of it, and now days nobody really minds. Apple's stock rate is a surprising 8 out of the possible 10, according to StockScouter. They are labeled grade C for fundamentals, ownership, and technical. Also, they have grade A in valuation, which are their strengths. On Fortune 500(by CNN), Apple is rated a surprising 17 in America's largest corporations. The company proved its worth after the co-founder Steve Jobs died, and they emerged. But being a 17 is better than their previous score, which was a 35.

Now with Apple under his control, Tim Cook Apple's CEO has done three mistakes, which you read about here. The company has added new product lines, increasing its sales by alot, nudging the management to announce plans for the firms first dividend since 1995. By doing this, Apple is returning some of the 97.6 billion in cash it had accumulated before to rise again. Apple has doubled its earnings in 2011 compared to 2010, and now it even better. Apple fans and analysts continue to await a long-rumored television set from the gadget-maker(Apple TV).

Thank You For Reading This Post On Apple, And Be Ready To Vote for Apple Or Samsung Next Week!

The Samsung Galaxy Note II

The Samsung Galaxy Note II is the revolutionary new Samsung touch screen phone by, well obviously you know so I don't have to tell you the creator. The note II has been selling well all around the nation, and the world. In early November, the Korean company announced that they have sold 3 million units. So far been on sale for 5 months, smashing the UK shelves October 1st. Coming to the states last month, spiking it's sale by the numbers. The Note one was originally thought not to sell as well as the previous models, instead exploded into a whole new category, called the "phablet" by some.

Yes all as crystal clear it seems, the Note 2 is already reeling in  many sales fish, but they manage the surplus. Running with the 5.5 inch screen and Android's 4.1 Jellybean, yeah, definitely another phone by Samsung. A few problems still lie with the Note IIlike it sitting in a proportional space that doesn't even exist, as well with few of an audience. The Galaxy S III itself is big as it is, while the people are still deciding if it even belongs in the phone category. But other wise it should fit in your jeans pocket(assuming that is not tight) and that even though it can't be used single-handed, Apple pointed out that the ratio for single handed usage is completely ignored by all modern Android devices, so the Note II isn't by itself on this one.

Thanksgiving Floats, Behind The Scenes

It is a huge american tradition to celebrate Thanksgiving, but it wasn't formally introduced until the civil war. In the annual Macy's Thanksgiving parade, hundreds of giant floats of movie characters, cartoon characters, video game characters, etc.. To make these floats, studio designers in Hoboken,NJ make three feet tall models for people at a designing studio, where they make the huge floats that are shown in the parade by Macys. Lots of different tech is used to create these floats, read on to find out.

To make all the balloons for the parade, it takes a year round effort right after the last parade ends. They start making completely different molds with styrofoam blocks, and cut them with hotwire. All details that make the model are  made by hand, or hand-sculpted. After the mold is done, they cover it with hard-co, a fire retardant plastic that gives it a waterproof shell for weather protection. After making a solid mold, the final balloon version is made at a manufacturer called Aero-Star. The balloon is test inflated to check for leaks or tears, so it will last for the approximately 6 hour parade. After all the balloons, actors, celebrities, and other forms of entertainment at the parade are ready to go, the parade starts.

A Very Useful Item

You don't have to use a detachable mouse or built in mouse to operate your computer or laptop. The new Thanko Gesture glove mouse is one of the newest techy toys out into the world today that allows you to wirelessly do this. It sends signals through wireless transmissions from itself, to it's receiver, and projects those gestures on the screen of either an Android, PCs, Macs, and Android smart TVs. There are multiple different gestures on this device for you to do, and each one makes a different movement on your screen. For instance, touching your thumb to your index finger makes a mouse click.

Any user of this mouse must strap it on your left hand, so the proper sensors are in the right position for you to properly use it. Multiple sensors sense your movements to project on your screen. It is connected by USB connector jack, and holds a 12 hour battery life, as well as a 10-15 meter signal radius. This can be charged via the USB connector jack, and sadly is only sold through Thanko in Japan. Do not lose hope however, their is one website from which you can purchase these "air-mice", at http://www.geekstuff4u.com/.                   Hoped you liked this post!

The World's Fastest Supercomputer, In The US

The Titan
The super computer "Titan" was crowned the fastest computer, weeks after it's debut. The computer was crowned in Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee (US). The one-hundred million dollar machine earned it's spot in the top 500 in the world. The computer has a speed of 17.59 petaflops, and a Cray  XK7 system. It contains of 200 cabinets, 18,688 compute nodes, each one containing high-powered processors, 299,008 cores, and Gemini interconnect. This provides the computer the ability to remotely direct memory access.

Although it isn't complete, it can reach speeds of 20 petaflops (above) and calculations of 20,000 trillion per second. It can allow scientists from everywhere to research, and more including astrophysics, and unparalleled accuracy. Titan is the first to utilize hybrid architecture, conventional 16-core AMD Operton CPU s  and NVIDIA Tesla K20 GPU accelerators. The combination of these two allow the Titan and other future models to overcome power and space limitations. When the Titan is actually complete, it will reach speeds of over 20 petaflops, and calculations of over 20,000 trillion per second. Titan's system is 10 times as fast as the Jaguar computer, and it would still be among the top without the GPU s or CPU s. For more info on this topic, visit this site.

Hurricane Sandy has done so much damage to the eastern sea board, so help by donating to the red cross.

Technology is important in life. People like Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, Bill Gates, and Tony Stark (not real).

This man has done it, why can't we. What is holding us back? It is the "I can'ts" that exist in our minds. We rely on technology, we advance in tech over years. This is why we have no iron man armor, no superior technology. This is what we were meant to do.

We are the Daily Bugle 2, and we approve this message.

The AISMO Bot

Yes, I do know that this isn't the latest tech(maybe it is?!) right at this moment, but I thought that this was worth not showing the "latest" tech. I do apologize dearly for my apparent "shut down" last week, and I am ready to show you the new, AISMO robot, the most advanced robot ever built. Honda's AISMO can run, and walk on uneven surfaces, pick up items, and so much more. The robot was first assembled in Japan, this world's current leader of technology, where it went through series of tests that it would go through in the US. It has superior functionalities to it's past models which are shown above.

The AISMO robot has capabilities that enable it to pick up a container of liquid, and simply pour it into a container. AISMO is smaller compared to the model before it, and ones before it, showing that it is more compact than the previous AISMO models. The robot can walk up stairs, slopes, open doors, recognize faces of a particular group with it's camera eyes. It can even tell what a specifically chosen item is with the camera eyes. Honda is now currently working on a new model, that can be used to assist the disabled in wheelchairs, etc.. Also, AISMO will soon be able to complete actions that are extremely dangerous to humans. Like cleaning up toxic spills, fight fires, etc.. Here is the video.

Bloody Mary Whales
Retold by S.E. Schlosser

Bloody Mary Whales from Spooky Indiana     Old Man Whales was an evil man who loved money more than anything in the world, except his wife.  In his lust for wealth, he supplemented his farm income by catching runaway slaves who were escaping to freedom through Indiana.  Whales would chain the ex-slaves up in his barn cellar until he could collect the reward on them.  When he couldn't find slaves, he'd capture free men and sell them into slavery.
When the Civil War ended slavery, it was a disaster for the evil Whales, who no longer had a profitable source of income to supplement his farm work.  And then his beloved wife died childbirth.  Overnight, Whales fell to pieces.  He hated the child – a little girl named Mary - that had killed his wife.  He neglected her, dressing her in rags, making her do all the farm choirs and half-starving her.  In spite of this cruel treatment, Mary grew into a sweet girl who loved her wicked father.
As Mary reached adulthood, the resemblance to her dead mother was striking.  Whales saw his dead wife every time he looked at the daughter who had caused her death.  One night, after a hefty bout of drinking, Whales lumbered into Mary's bedroom and stabbed her repeatedly.  Mary woke screaming and thrashed around in agony, trying to fight off her demonic father as blood spurted everywhere and bits of torn flesh littered the bedclothes and fell to the floor.  When she was dead, Old Man Whales carried her down to the basement, dug an indifferent grave and tossed her body into it.
Two nights later, when Old Man Whales came back from doing his nightly chores, he found Mary standing in the kitchen, her nearly severed head lolling against one shoulder as she stirred an empty kettle. A pool of steaming blood lay beneath her feet, and bits of skin from her knife-slashed face were breaking off and falling into the kettle.   "Faaaaaather...." Bloody Mary hissed.  Old Man Whales screamed and leapt out the kitchen door.  When he glanced over his shoulder, the apparition was gone.
A week later, Old Man Whales looked up from reading the newspaper to find Bloody Mary sitting in the chair opposite him, her knife-slashed dress covered in blood.   Her tattered hands were busy knitting him a shirt.  "Faaaaaather...." she hissed through knife-scored lips.  Blood fell from her body like rain as she flew across the room toward him, knitting needles held like knives.  Old Man Whales fled from the house in panic with two deep cuts scored across his back.
Old Man Whales cowered in the barn for several days, afraid to go near his house.  After nearly a week of sleeping in the hay and eating raw food from the garden, he decided it was safe to return to his house.  The spirit must be gone by now.
Old Man Whales hurried into the kitchen, eager for a wash and a shave after sleeping so many nights in the barn.  He pumped an ewer of water and took it over to the little shaving mirror they kept on the far wall. When he looked in the mirror, Old Man Whales saw the glowing red eyes and knife-scored face of Bloody Mary.  Her once-fair lips were split down the center and blood dripped from them as she smiled evilly. "Faaaaaather...." she hissed, raising blood-stained fingers.  Her nails were long and sharpened like the claws of a beast.  She reached out of the mirror and slapped her father twice across the face.  Old Man Whales screamed, blood streaming from four slashes on his cheeks.  He ran from the house and leapt into the safety of the barn, his heart pounding so hard his chest ached with it.
"Faaaaaather...." a voice hissed softly a few paces to his right.  Old Man Whales screamed and whirled around.  Blood Mary stood smiling at him through her blood-stained, razor-sharp teeth.  Her tattered tongue was bleeding from several places as if it had been scored by a butcher's knife.   She pointed above her head, and Old Man Whales saw a noose hanging from the rafters beside the ladder to the loft.  The rope looked inviting, hanging there in a dust-speckled sunbeam.  Obediently, Old Man Whales placed his hands on the rung of the ladder and started to climb.
